Hammers linked with international defender

|

I saw the other week that West Ham have been linked with yet another defender. The man in question this time is Saint Etienne’s Moustapha Bayal Sall.

The 25 year old is out of contract next summer and fellow Championship side Doncaster have also been linked with the centre back.

Bayal Sall joined Ligue 1 side Saint Etienne in 2006 and has made over 80 league appearances. He has also capped 16 times by Senegal. The powerful defender could be playing in next summer’s African Cup of Nations.

Now in all honesty, before the other day I had never heard of Bayal Sall. I’m sure many Hammers fans will be thinking the same. But he is a defender which West Ham are lacking for cover at the present time. We also need to start planning for the Premier League next season and to buy an international defender on a free could work out well.

We could get a chance to watch Bayal Sall next year at the African Cup of the Nations if he is selected in the Senegal squad.

Buying Bayal Sall at the end of his contract next summer could turn out to be an astute piece of business by Sam Allardyce. He is an international defender and if it doesn’t work out, we wouldn’t have paid a big transfer fee anyway. Or this could be another transfer rumour that falls by the wayside and we never hear of again. We’ll have to wait and see.

Mate if you don’t like the guy’s articles don’t bother writing silly comments, at least he is optimistic about promotion unlike some people.
