We Don’t Nedum anyway

|

It was announced last week that West Ham have failed in a bid to bring in Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha on loan, which was a major blow as The Hammers currently have a deep injury crisis with many key players currently out for lengthy spells, most notably at centre half.

A centre back is the biggest priority at the moment after New Zealand international Winston Reid dislocated his shoulder in the weekend win over Hull City. But Onuoha has rejected a move to West Ham, which is surprising considering he has only played one game for City this season.

It is not the end of the world though; there are plenty of other options for Sam Allardyce to choose from. They include Aston Villa’s Ciaran Clark and Liverpool youngster Danny Wilson.

Clark has only made five appearances for The Villains this season, while Wilson has been frozen out by Reds manager Kenny Dalglish, playing no matches for Liverpool.

Both of these young defenders could easily fit in with West Ham’s squad and do a great job for the team. They have some Premier League experience and I’m sure they could tighten up our defence over the course of the season.

So no Onuoha, but there are plenty of other options available for Big Sam.

till macnauton got sent off against aldershot thought he was the best player on the pitch, reminded me of james collins. every ball that came into the area he was there heading it out, shame he is out on loan.

Callum Macnaughton was a nervous wreck against Aldershot, kept making mistakes and in making another got himself sent off. However, give the lad a chance I am sure he will come good.
