After getting knocked out the Carling Cup by Aldershot. Sam has realised that our squad has no depth what so ever, so it seems they are still going to bring in a few more signings before the window shuts. Brian Montenegro has signed on a 1 year loan deal and we don’t know if there is the option to buy. Is this kid going to use us as the stepping stone that we usually are, or is he going to be another Savio?
Montenegro (I do actually love his name) told the official site that he likes to run at defenders and scare them. After reading that, I realised that we had no one in our team that done that before. I keep on hearing about his lightening pace and to be honest, Barrera had lightening pace, but the only time he used it is when he was running away from the oppositions tackles.
I really hope this kid turns out to be good, but I think he is here just to give us a bit more depth and as he can play on the wing or up front, he can give a bit of cover as we are lacking wingers and pacey strikers.

Brian Montenegro…..I agree, what a cool name, but it remains to be seen if he’s up to the pace and physicality of English football. I personally haven’t heard of him before and your right, is he another Savio? Let’s hope not….Glad to read that “he likes to run at defenders and scare them” that’s all well and good, providing he remembers to take the ball with him…and have the ability to stick it in the back of the net once he get’s there, but enough of this negativity, l hope he turns out to be a revelation, keeps that donkey Piquionne out of the team and gets the goals that put us back where we belong………COYI ‘><'
