West Ham United may well have to alter their transfer plans this summer after Michy Batshuayi has stated that he does not want to leave Marseille.

The Belgium international forward has been linked with the Hammers as they look to bolster their options in the final third this summer and would be an exciting and explosive addition to the squad.

Liverpool and Tottenham are also both thought to be paying attention to Batshuayi, who has been in fine form for the Stade Veledrome outfit over the last 18 months.

Despite consistent rumblings linking the former Standard Liege star with a move to England, the striker has stated that he is content with Marseille and his future is with the Ligue 1 club.

“My future is at Marseille.” Batshuayi told L’Equipe.

“I want to stay, I love the stadium, the fans, lots of players in this squad. I am in love with this club.

“I would prefer to leave this club after leaving a trace on people’s minds. My story with Marseille is far from over.”

Marseille have toiled this season following Marcelo Bielsa’s exit, but Batshuayi has been a rare bright spark.

West Ham have already raided the French south coast club, signing Dimitri Payet from them for £14 million last summer.
