The notorious Boleyn Insider has revealed that West Ham plan to make three new signings within the next seven days.

Writing on the club’s official website, the Insider comments on why deals for players seem to be taking so long:

‘My sources say that the deals are taking longer than expected as the various parties involved try to reach the right deal’

It is no secret that the hammers are struggling to secure deals at the moment. Alex Song looks like one of the moves that could be closest to completion but the Insider also stated that other clubs could come in for him.

Deals for the likes of Carl Jenkinson and Marseille star Dimitri Payet seem to be taking longer than expected as it is still not entirely clear whether the latter wants to leave Marseille this summer.

The Hammers are not too keen to pay the £2 million loan fee for Carl Jenkinson but the defender is keen to stay with West Ham for another season.

The Boleyn Insider only seems to fuel further speculation rather than providing answers but the fact that the deals ‘are taking longer than expected’ is a cause for concern for West Ham fans.

Will Dimitri Payet become a West Ham player? Should West Ham pay £2 million to take Carl Jenkinson on loan? Comment below

Absolutely get Jenko. I’m torn on both Payet and Song. Would really like to see Remy and Ba.

Remy would be an ideal signing but that rumour seems to have quiten right down!!!

About time Brady, Gold and Sullivan stuck their tight fists in their pockets and strengthen the team with Good players, not Cheap players. And that goes for Bilic, might as well have kept Big Sam.

Without doubt we should be doing everything to get jenko back!!! Payet would be a great signing, think charlie austin is a must to try and at least lure him to the club!!! Charlie in carroll out!!!

No way should we pay £2m for Jenko, after all the work we put in to him last year I think it’s a joke for arsenal to even ask. At the end of the day they ain’t gooner use him he be 3rd or 4th choice. They should take 6m from us n shake hands. This other bloke they talking a bout seems a gamble and could turn out an expensive one at that. He’s 28 nearly 29, had one and a half good seasons and gonna cost £12m plus £70000plus a week. Nani from Man U would be a cheaper n just as good option as he’s proven in the prem.sell Carroll Nolan n Jarvis that should push the budget up another £20m!

you obv need some help, Dimitri Payet has had quite a few good seasons in the french league. Yes, he’s getting old but we need to secure a good place before we get young hopeful players good enough to start for us, plus he’d be able to play until he’s 32/33 first team quality. We also are planning £60k a week not 70… Nani is just as old and he wouldn’t be cheaper, he’d be roughly the same price plus he hasn’t done well in a top league for quite a few years now. Nolan has been released so we can’t really sell him :/ and selling Carroll and Jarvis won’t get us £20m. Carroll will be max £12m and Jarvis £3m. Even is that did happen, the board would take a cut of that and give us around £12m…enough for Payet. Just so you know

The questions, will they really be three signings. The whole thonkinghas been the squad is too thin on the ground but if two of those signings prove to be Song and Jenkinson we’ll only have added one.
Add up the players already left and the squad will actually have shrunk.
If it is true that we cannot get through a busy season with the numbers we have then we’ll have to sign at least three really new players on top of Obiang, to really strengthen the squad in any meaningful way

  • Andy brown says:

Our priority should be more fire power with one decent striker a crock and the mon prolific valencia we should be going all out to sighn a big name centre forward!

  • Flynn says:

Tbh song is a good player, but would definitely prefer cabaye, he’ll get 10 goals a season plus assists. We’ve already got defensive midfielders to cover song. Kouyate and Obiang can replace his ball winning ability. For me cabaye, austin, retain jenkinson and getting konoplyanka on a free would make a top class summer.
