Tony Cottee held a Twitter Q&A session on Monday night and one of the questions he had to answer involved three players he would sign for us from the Championship if he had the power.
It looks like we were one step ahead of him in January as one of his selections was Jarrod Bowen, along with Brentford’s Ollie Watkins and Eberechi Eze of QPR.
For those as you that aren’t keen students of the second tier, the first name is a bright 24-year-old English striker who has 22 goals from 35 appearances. Only Aleksandar Mitrovic has more in the Championship in 2019/2020.
The second is three years younger and an attacking midfielder by trade, a current England U21 international and a man with 18 goal contributions under his belt in the league this term.
