Some supporters on social media have been poking fun at speculation surrounding Roberto – a figure that only appears in our most terrifying nightmares.
The 33-year-old hasn’t even made an appearance since moving on loan to Alaves in January.
The rumour claims that the La Liga outfit have been happy with the disastrous ‘keeper since his arrival and are willing to take him on permanently in the summer, only if they get him for free.
This has prompted fans to jest that we should follow their demands as it wouldn’t involve us having to give them any money to take Roberto!
Certainly, the brutal reality that the shot-stopper still has well over a year left on his West Ham contract is a scary one and this move would solve that without any hassle in the summer.
