Fans on Twitter have been getting nostalgic over a starting Xl from on this day in 2016 as Slaven Bilic took his men to face Southampton.

There it is, in all it’s glory, Song, Payet, Collins, the works, it’s a wonder how we managed to lose this game 1-0 against a ten-man Saints.
But the outcome on that Saturday evening hasn’t stopped some supporters from drooling over the Xl from that very special season – just take us back!
One proclaimed that the side alone would get into the Premier League top eight, a second stated how much he misses the good old days of our football club and a third simply called the Xl “sauce.”
It’s crazy to think that this impressive team could have been even better without the injuries of the time, Reid, prime Lanzini and Kouyate all missing from the squad.
Below is a list of the best reactive Tweets to the nostalgic side…

The time when we had passion, desire, pace & Payet. Miss the good old days of the football club. 😔⚒
