West Ham United fans on Twitter have been wishing 6 ft 3in powerhouse a happy birthday this Thursday.

To celebrate the Frenchman’s 23rd, the club posted a short message and a montage of some of his finest moments in claret and blue so far.

Highlights included stopping Harry Kane dead in his tracks against Tottenham last season, his first goal in England against Wimbledon a couple of months earlier and his sensational run that nearly resulted in a late goal in the 2018/2019 reverse fixture against Spurs.

It may be a time to celebrate for the 23-year-old, but being in and out of the first team this season is undoubtedly not what he had in mind for his second campaign in the Premier League and he’ll be keen to get his place in the starting Xl back under David Moyes, sooner rather than later.

However, supporters were fast to send their messages of goodwill to Diop with compliments such as “French Prince” and “absolute god” flying around the Twittersphere.
