Last Wednesday afternoon, Ex revealed that Bristol Rovers are a front runner to sign the versatile talent on a permanent two-year deal, having previously said that he’s set for a move away and Lincoln City are in pole position.
Joe Powell is set to secure a move away from the club with Lincoln leading the chase! The same club are also trying to get Conor Coventry on loan too ⚒

Powell is 21-years-old now, his contract is set to run out in the summer and his one and only senior appearance did come a year-and-a-half ago against Macclesfield Town in the Carabao Cup.
However, his form in the Premier League 2 Division 2 this season has been impressive as he’s collected four goals and three assists playing in different roles in the midfield, contributing to the understandable confusion of supporters.
You can see the pick of the reactive Tweets after the news that Powell could leave permenantly, below…
Hasn’t Powell been smashing it in the U23s?

I thought Joe Powell looked decent. What’s gone wrong for him?? I remember the club making it a big deal when he signed a professional contract b

Why are we looking to sell one of our young stars?
— Customhousehammer74 (@Customhouseham1) January 8, 2020
Permanent? He looks a top prospect to me

Surprised that we are selling to be honest. Looks a real decent prospect

Mad to sell him. Kids got great vision. They ball to play in Grady in the cup last season 👋. You could see he’s gonna be good

Don’t understand this. I’ve seen him several times. Crosses with both feet always gets assists and goals. Doesn’t look too lightweight and we’ve let him go. Just needed a chance!

Joe Powell doing as good as Holland from what I’ve seen. Strange if we are letting him go Unless we put a first refusal buy back option in place
