West Ham United could sell summer signing Albian Ajeti as early as the January transfer window, according to Claret and Hugh.
The club source have claimed on their website that the Switzerland international could leave the club either in January or the summer along with Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez.
Claret and Hugh report that after the former Basel man has failed to make an impact at the London Stadium, they could sell him and a couple of others in order to bring in one or two fresh faces for Manuel Pellegrini.
Ajeti has yet to start a single game in the Premier League so far, with club-record signing Sebastien Haller being preferred in the final third.
OPINION
Well, this would simply be a ludicrous decision for the Hammers to make in January. Pellegrini hasn’t given Ajeti a massive chance to make any impression in the Premier League, so how would he be able to make a bigger impact. The 22-year-old has had to settle for four appearances off the bench and has only completed 91 minutes in the top flight, so it would be more believable if it was the player who wanted to leave and not the club. The former Basel striker has proved early in his career that he can find the back of the net with ease after he scored 21 goals and even assisted 11 for his teammates last season in Switzerland in 43 appearances. With West Ham winless since September and struggling in front of goal, it is time for Pellegrini to throw him into the starting line-up, never mind possibly selling him in the January window.
