West Ham United will not be sending Nathan Holland on loan to West Brom this season, according to Claret and Hugh.

It was suggested by Football Insider that Manuel Pellegrini could send the shining academy starlet to the Hawthorns whilst recalling Grady Diangana in the process.

The club source have quashed those rumours, simply claiming that there is no chance that the 21-year-old will be leaving the London Stadium this season after featuring in the Carabao Cup defeat to Oxford earlier in the campaign.

Claret and Hugh report that the Hammers will have the decision to recall the impressive Diangana or not and that nothing else will need to come into consideration.

OPINION

This is exactly the approach that West Ham needed to take, and they could potentially avoid a backlash in the process. The Hammers don’t need to offer leverage in order to bring Diangana back to the London Stadium, after all, he is their player, and why should the Baggies need Holland in return. The 21-year-old has been unstoppable for the under-23s this season, and immediately sending him out on loan instead of giving him the Premier League chance he deserves would undermine all of his efforts so far. Holland hasn’t been able to stop scoring and he managed another two in the recent 4-2 victory over Swansea City, as the young Hammers continued their run at the top of the table. It’s only a matter of time before he hits the heights of the first-team, and he could be doing that alongside Diangana in January should Pellegrini decide to bring him back.
