West Ham loanee Sead Haksabanovic has returned to Rush Green, and will be assessed by coaching staff, according to Claret & Hugh.
The 20-year-old is currently out on loan at Swedish side IFK Norrköping, with that deal set to expire in the summer of 2020.
And while he is expected to stay the course in Scandinavia, he has returned to east London to check-in after the Swedish league season came to its conclusion.
A piece from Claret & Hugh reads: “With the Swedish season at an end he has returned to Rush Green where the management team will be taking a good look at him.
“The attacking midfielder joined Swedish outfit IFK last winter and is fully expected to see his time out at the club.”
All things considered, West Ham staff will probably be fairly pleased with Haksabonvic’s progress thus far. The wide man has hit six goals and eight assists in 29 appearances in Sweden, which is a respectable total in any league. That equates to a minutes per goal of 282, as per Transfermarkt, which again is perfectly respectable. At 20, he is still a good age, and on the face of it, this appears to be another smart loan deal from the Hammers, who are enjoying great success with the likes of Grady Diangana and Josh Cullen out on temporary stints away. The only complication is that he still has another year left to run on his deal in Scandinavia, so even if he is starts setting the world on fire, it could be a while before he is seen in a claret and blue shirt.
