There has been no firm interest registered in West Ham United youngster Martin Samuelsen ahead of the January transfer window, according to Claret and Hugh.
The online club source claim on their website that the Hammers have not yet to receive any bids or enquiries for the 22-year-old, who is currently in his fifth loan spell away from the London Stadium.
Claret and Hugh report that West Ham are likely to let Samuelsen leave the club for a nominal fee or even for free despite him costing almost £2million in wages over the last four years.
The young Norweigan talent has failed to make any sort of breakthrough for the Hammers, despite joining the club in 2015.
OPINION
This comes as no surprise that West Ham will be willing to let Samuelsen leave the club in the near future given the fact he has failed to make any sort of impact on the first team. When the 22-year-old arrived in 2015 from Manchester City, there will have been big hopes that the winger could have done more during his time in East London. For one player to have had five loan spells away from the club and not yet to have made any impression only proves that the £2million spent on his wages could have been a real waste of money. Samuelsen has only ever made two senior appearances for the Hammers, and they are likely to be his last ever outings for the club as he edges closer to an exit whether that be in January or the end of the season. The youngster’s latest loan-spell at Haugesund ends in December, so a winter exit is the most likely outcome for Samuelsen from West Ham.
