West Ham United have no plans to pay off midfielder Jack Wilshere from his current contract, according to Claret and Hugh.

The club source claim that the Hammers will not come to a mutual agreement with the England international which will allow him to find a new club regardless of any injury problems.

Claret and Hugh report that the £100,000-a-week Hammers’ star remains a valued member of Manuel Pellegrini’s squad, and the club are set to honour the remainder of his current deal.

It is suggested that Wilshere will earn nearly £5million between now and the end of his deal at the London Stadium.

OPINION

Wilshere definitely still has a big role to play at West Ham between now and the end of his current deal at the London Stadium. Pellegrini is surely not set on his best side at this moment after a month full of struggle in the Premier League which has seen the Hammers somewhat slip away after a promising start. The former Arsenal man is currently struggling with another injury, and his return could definitely be welcome, and he will definitely get the opportunity to prove his worth by his manager, who has shown that he is not afraid to make changes. Pellegrini made five switches for the 1-1 draw against Sheffield United, and should the England international return for the clash with Newcastle on Saturday, it could be his turn to prove his worth. The 27-year-old has only made 14 Premier League appearances for the Hammers and is surely closing in on getting more minutes given the struggles in midfield.
