Pedro Obiang sent West Ham attacker Michail Antonio a message after the Hammers forward photoshopped his head onto the body of a character from Dragon Ball Z.

Antonio had previously taken to his personal Instagram account to share his photoshopped image along with sharing that he was now ready for the new season to begin.

“Pre-season done, fully charged and ready!” wrote the winger.

Antonio’s unique post saw former West Ham teammate Obiang message him to tell the 29-year-old that he was the craziest boy the midfielder has ever met and that he loved him.

“You are the crazy boy I ever meet but we love you,” wrote Obiang, via his Instagram account.

OPINION

Obiang may have departed the Hammers earlier in the summer to join Italian side Sassuolo after making 116 appearances for the club, but that hasn’t stopped him keeping an eye on things at the London Stadium. Obiang spent four years in East London and no doubt is missing some of his West Ham teammates, and it looks like one of the players he misses is Antonio. The Hammers attacker showed off his unique way of marking that pre-season was over, and his personality shone through once again. Obiang, like many West Ham fans, no doubt appreciates Antonio’s larger than life personality, calling him crazy, and is rooting for him to have a good campaign. The 29-year-old had a very successful 2018/19 season for the Hammers as he put his past injury demons behind him to be able to regularly featured under Manuel Pellegrini. Antonio played 38 times across all competitions and racked up seven goals as well as seven assists. Six of Antonio’s goals came in his 33 league outings and he even managed to rack up two Man of the Match awards across his Premier League campaign (Source: WhoScored). So it’ll be interesting to see if he can do even better than last season.
