West Ham are likely to be finished in the transfer market this summer unless a deal “presents itself” to the club , according to reliable source ExWHUemployee.
The Hammers completed their sixth signing of the transfer window with a deadline day swoop for striker Albian Ajeti, as reported by Football.London, and while Ex believes that that will be their final swoop, he has also hinted that they could be tempted by deal if it was too good to turn down.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, when asked if the Hammers were done and dusted, he said: “Pretty much so!
“Unless a deal presents itself to us that is it.”
OPINION
This will no doubt have Hammers hearts fluttering right up to the 5pm deadline today, but the fact of the matter is that it would take something properly special for the Hammers to conduct any more business now. Manuel Pellegrini seems more than satisfied with his summer business, and so he should. Players like Pablo Fornals and Sebastien Haller have substantially improved the quality of the Hammers’ squad, while Albian Ajeti looks as if he has potential to burn. The 22-year-old Swiss striker hit more than 40 goals over the past three seasons, and if he can continue that kind of growth and form in England, then the Irons will finally have the quality and depth up front that they have been so desperately craving for such a long time. Fans will always want one extra deal, and you could argue that another CDM wouldn’t go amiss, but honestly, this has been a fine summer for the Hammers.
