West Ham playmaker Manuel Lanzini got pulses racing against Fulham after he scored a peach of a goal against the Championship side to open the scoring against them on Saturday during a 1-0 win. The Hammers travelled to Craven Cottage on Saturday to face Fulham in the Cottagers’ last pre-season match ahead of their season getting underway next weekend, and impressed across the board. One player that stood out for all the right reasons for Manuel Pellegrini’s side was Lanzini. While several focused on Lazini’s beautiful goal, other Hammers focused on his general play. One Hammers fan claimed the 26-year-old was better than Real Madrid midfielder Eden Hazard, while a couple claimed the midfielder was capable of silencing the doubters in his upcoming campaign. Lanzini managed to make only 10 appearances last season, scoring twice while assisting once, after being stuck on the sidelines due to a knee injury for 229 days (Source: Transfermarkt). The midfielder was only able to show glimpses of his talent as a result and due to being rusty, his average rating across his displays was 6.72 (Source: WhoScored), the player gained a few doubters. However, with him looking sharp in pre-season against Fulham, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he wows in the upcoming campaign.
