Felipe Anderson took to life in the Premier League like a duck to water last season. The Brazilian arrived at West Ham from Lazio in a big money deal, and wasted little time in showing just how much of a lethal attacking force he can be. Nine goals and four assists in 36 league appearances showed a player who was able and eager to make real contributions for the Hammers, and his average of 1.8 key passes per match and 2.1 successful dribbles [Whoscored] illustrated a well-rounded and dangerous talent capable of being a real nuisance for opposition defenders. The hope will be that he can keep that wonderful run going into the new campaign, and based on the latest behind the scenes footage of him training, he looks as if he is well on course to do just that. In the first instance, kudos to Mark Noble. The skipper clips a delightful little ball into the South American with the outside of his boot, but from that point onwards it is all about Anderson. The 26-year-old runs across the flight of the ball, flicking it into his own path with the back of his heel. He then proceeds to watch it all the way onto his right boot before cracking a stunning volley into the top corner. It’s a classy, intricate goal, and if he can replicate that kind of finish in competitive matches, West Ham fans will be absolutely delighted.
