Premier League giants Manchester United have offered two new players to West Ham United for centre back Issa Diop, according to France Football.

The French outlet claims that the Red Devils are attempting to sign the 22-year-old by any means this summer, but that the Hammers have slapped a £75million price tag on the player.

The most recent offer United have made for the Frenchman equates to £45million plus defenders Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian in a part exchange deal.

However, the offer was rejected by the east London outfit. Despite that, though, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are preparing to go back in for Diop.

Clearly United’s interest in Diop isn’t something that’s merely going to pass in the wind. He’s not just the latest in a long line of centre backs linked with a move to Old Trafford, United genuinely want to sign him. However, West Ham are refusing to sell and won’t budge in their stance. They’re not interested in the host of outcasts Solskjaer is offering them, and why would they be? Neither Darmian nor Rojo were regular starters for a team who weren’t much better than the Hammers last time out. Would Darmian get in ahead of Ryan Fredericks at right back? Possibly. But Rojo? There’s no chance he’d be anything more than a squad player at the London Stadium. Either way, these two men don’t stack up to the £30million difference that the two teams seemingly have in their valuation of Diop. It’s imperative that West Ham keep hold of Diop moving forward and clearly the club think that’s the case as well.
