West Ham are preparing for summer business and will consider bids for their so-called fringe players in the transfer window according to the Evening Standard
The newspaper claim on their website that Manuel Pellegrini wants to offload a number of squad members in a bid to raise extra funds for his potential in comings before the new Premier League season.
The Hammers will reportedly listen to offers for Lucas Perez, Pedro Obiang, Reece Oxford, Sam Byram and Jordan Hugill in a bid to revamp their squad.
Alongside these potential deals, senior squad members Adrian and forward Andy Carroll are to leave the club when their current contracts expire, which will free up more budget in the wages department.
There is also doubt surrounding 30-year-old forward Javier Hernandez after the Mexican failed to make an impact in the second half of the season.

This will be a smart decision from West Ham and Manuel Pellegrini when it comes to the transfer window. The opportunity to clear out a big chunk of fringe players who are very likely to play little to no part in next season’s Premier League can only benefit them. The time has come for the clear out after a year of unsuccessful loan spell’s has left the club welcoming back players who no longer have futures. The added benefit of this business is that the departures of players such as Andy Carroll and Lucas Perez could free up a large piece of their wage budget. This will allow Chilean, Pellegrini to go into the transfer market with an open mind and bring in players who he wants and can effect his side positively throughout the next campaign. After breaking their transfer record twice this season, West Ham will need to act quickly and smartly when conducting their business this year and this clear out would be the perfect start to a year where they can potentially push for European qualification once again.
