West Ham attacker Felipe Anderson is 90% certain to be involved against Chelsea on Monday, according to Claret & Hugh.

The reliable Hammers news outlet claims that the Brazilian winger was back in training on Wednesday after missing the defeat to Everton due to picking up a knock in training.

Claret & Hugh report that the clash with the Toffees was the first match Anderson had missed this season and threw Manuel Pellegrini’s plans into turmoil as a result.

However Claret & Hugh’s source believe that the 25-year-old only suffered a minor problem and that he should be back to face the Blues unless he suffers a set-back.

OPINION

Anderson has at times wowed Hammers supporters with his performances this season and he was a noticeable absentee against Everton. While sometimes the 25-year-old has struggled to make an impact in matches, it’s fair to say the Hammers would have liked him available to call upon against the Toffees. In their clash with Marco Silva’s side, several Hammers players struggled to deliver the goods and it was a very disappointing defeat for the side as a result. Yet Pellegrini must brush off any lingering effect from that defeat and get his team quickly back on track. The manager has been handed a boost in doing so as having Anderson available, will likely make him breathe a sigh of relief. Anderson is more than capable of causing Chelsea problems with his attacking flair and creative vision, so it would be no surprise if he’s able to make a splash upon returning to the first team.
