OPINION

West Ham left-back Arthur Masuaku is usually the scape goat for the majority of Irons fans, and that is totally justified after some of the poor performances he has submitted this season. However, the same could not be said for this 2-1 loss against Manchester United on Saturday evening. The 25-year-old replaced the injured Aaron Cresswell for this game, and it is safe to say that he surprised most supporters with a rather classy display. He was excellent at crossing, and he really caused some problems for the United defence when he bombed down the left flank in the first half. Many would have raised their eyebrows at the fact Masuaku was starting, but they will no doubt be mincing their words after this assured display. If he can keep this level of form up, then his future at the club may not look so bleak after all. Fingers crossed that he can.
