Collymore predicts West Ham v Everton

|

Stan Collymore has predicted that West Ham United will beat Everton 3-2 when the two sides face off at the London Stadium on Saturday.

The former Liverpool forward shared his predictions for the Hammers’ upcoming clash with the Toffees via his personal Twitter account when predicting the next set of Premier League fixtures.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side will be hoping to build upon their entertaining 4-3 win over Huddersfield before the international break, while Everton will be hoping to do the same after their impressive 2-0 win over Chelsea a couple of weeks ago.

OPINION

West Ham beat Everton at the start of the season to end their winless run of five games, but since then, the Hammers have lost a couple of players, most notably Andriy Yarmolenko. However, Collymore is right to predict such a tight scoreline between the two sides. It is hard to separate them both after the mixed campaigns that they have both had, but it is hard to imagine it being such a goal fest. West Ham do not have the best attack at the moment, and neither do Everton – so for this to be high scoring would be highly unlikely. However, anything could happen, and after the form they were in during their last matches, we could see a surprise. Nevertheless, this will surely be an entertaining game for both sets of fans. If Pellegrini opts for playing Javier Hernandez up front, then his side would be more than capable of doing the double over Everton, just as Collymore predicted.
