Daniel Sturbridge’s time at Liverpool increasingly looks as if it could be coming to an end, and West Ham must offer the England international an escape route out of Anfield.

The 29-year-old striker has struggled of game time this season, and with his contract expiring at the end of the season, it’s not obvious as to where his future lies.

As reported in the Daily Mail, a host of clubs are understood to be looking at the hitman, and there is the possibility that he could still be handed a new deal on Merseyside, but increasingly it is unclear as to what his next move will be.

The Hammers should intervene to ensure that they snap up a top quality finisher who still has a lot to give.

Despite only playing 18 times this season, with 12 of those appearances coming off the bench, the forward has looked sharper than he has done in years, and seems to have put the worst of his injury nightmares behind him.

Sturridge has spent time in London before during his title-winning spell with Chelsea, and a return to the capital makes sense for all involved.

Whether it’s this month or in the summer on a free, the Irons could pull of a huge coup with a swoop for one of the finest natural goalscorers in the English game.
