West Ham must act now for Liverpool forward Divock Origi as Fulham are reportedly willing to splash the cash on him in a bid to turn their season around.

According to reliable Hammers insider ExWHUemployee on Twitter he believes there’s possibly something in the suggestions that Manuel Pellegrini would like to add Origi to his squad due to the club’s previous strong interest in the attacker.

However EXWHUemployee was then quick to point out that players would probably have to leave before any move for Origi can be made.

“Yes, I believe the club have had a strong interest in the past however it will depend on players leaving before any moves can happen for Origi,” said the trusted source.

However the Hammers can’t afford to get their ducks lined up before launching a move as Fulham sound like they’re ready to attempt to save themselves for relegation by snapping up Origi.

The Sun claimed that the Hammers’ Premier League rivals are willing to splash the cash in January in order to strengthen Claudio Ranieri’s squad and are even prepared to pay £15million for Origi.

While this may seem like a notable sum of money for the 23-year-old forward who has struggled to feature this season for the Reds as he made only three appearances, he is worth investing in.

Origi, who has 26 caps for Belgium, is still at an age where he can get better and his tricky feet as well as blistering pace are attributes that are hard to find in players for a reasonable pace.

The forward also has tons of Premier League experience as he has played 53 times in the division which means he could hit the ground running at a club as soon as he arrives.

Pellegrini clearly needs to boost his firepower upfront and Origi is more than capable of being the right solution for him.

The Liverpool talent showed his potential at Wolfsburg while on loan with them last season and did managed to be involved in 10 goals across 36 outings.

Also given the fact the 23-year-old can also play on the wing, it would give the Hammers squad way more depth on the flanks as well which is a blessing in disguise.

Therefore the Hammers must act now to have any chance of getting a player who would benefit for them in the form of Origi as Fulham appear to be ready to go all in on the Reds attacker.
