West Ham United will be hoping to build upon their 2-1 win over Southampton on Thursday with another victory over Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday.

A quick-fire brace from Felipe Anderson secured all three points for the visitors at St Mary’s Stadium after initially going a goal down thanks to Nathan Redmond.

However, despite the win, some players’ performances were not up to scratch and Manuel Pellegrini must carefully consider his options when fielding his strongest possible team against the Clarets.

He must make two changes to the side that got the win on Thursday if West Ham are to get another three points on the board.

In goal, Lukasz Fabianski must start as normal.

The Chilean must leave the back four relatively unchanged apart from the woeful Michail Antonio – the 28-year-old needs to be axed from his position at right-back, with veteran Pablo Zabaleta returning if he has recovered from illness.

Pellegrini must stick to his central midfield duo that comprises of Declan Rice and Pedro Obiang, both whom had excellent games against the Saints.

Robert Snodgrass, Grady Diangana and Felipe Anderson must not fear for their places in the starting XI after such assured displays on Thursday, with Anderson arguably the pick of the bunch.

The second and final change should come in the attack, with Lucas Perez disappointing hugely up front – this means that he must be dropped in favour of fringe player Andy Carroll, whose six appearances in the Premier League this season coming from the bench.

If Pellegrini makes the right decisions regarding his starting XI, his team will have more than enough to blitz past Burnley with ease.
