COMMENTARY

West Ham attacker Michail Antonio took to his Twitter account quickly after the Hammers beat Cardiff City 3-1 on Tuesday in order to somewhat celebrate his latest outing. The 28-year-old shared a picture of his head on Marvel’s The Incredible Hulk’s body alongside tweeting three words “Beast mode activated” and this sent a number of Hammers fans wild. Several declared that the player they affectionately thought was a beast in previous seasons was back to his best after excelling as a right-back against Neil Warnock’s side, and it’s easy to see why they thought that. Antonio has struggled to deliver the goods all season but he had his best game against Cardiff on Tuesday. The 28-year-old not only played well in a position he hasn’t featured in for a while but he even managed to get on the scoresheet during the comfortable win. Given this it’s no surprise that fans lapped up Antonio’s latest tweet and heaped praise on him for his latest display.
