Nothing seems to be standing in the way of West Ham United’s success right now, and there is one player who is at the centre of it all.

That player is Robert Snodgrass, who was loaned out to Aston Villa last season.

However, what a transformation he has undergone this time around – and that is all because Manuel Pellegrini gave him the confidence to perform once again.

The 31-year-old looks like a new signing for the Hammers after forcing his way into the first team and that was epitomised by his performance at the weekend against Crystal Palace, a game which saw him bag a goal in the 3-2 win.

There is no doubt the 5ft 11in [Transfermarkt] ace has been a revelation this season and he has proved that he is undroppable for the Irons at the moment, especially as he has been instrumental in recent results.

Pellegrini is probably patting himself on the back for bringing Snodgrass into proceedings once again, as he is a player who could save the club some money in January having demonstrated that a need for an attacking midfielder is out the window.

Snodgrass was essentially unplayable alongside teammate Felipe Anderson, and they will continue to wreck havoc on every defence they meet for the forseeable future if they keep on blowing everyone away.

His performance on Saturday was his best one we have seen this season and his future at the club looks to be in safe hands after the contribution he has made.

Who would have thought that the outcast from last year would be taking games by the scruff of the neck this time around?

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp even wrote in his Daily Mail column that he has been “impressed” by the player’s attitude, so there is a lot for fans to be excited about.

“I’ve been impressed by Robert Snodgrass’s attitude since he returned to West Ham from his loan at Aston Villa, knuckling down in pre-season and forcing his way into the side,” he said.

Pellegrini would be crazy to drop the red-hot ace – even when several of his players come back from injury.
