Manuel Pellegrini shared that he thought West Ham winger Felipe Anderson was improving with each passing game after being asked about the player’s performance against Newcastle United on the Saturday.

The experienced manager shared that the Hammers attacker needed to learn how the Premier League was different from Italy’s Serie A or from playing in Brazil, but highlighted the progress he was making.

“I think Felipe is improving in every game he plays,” remarked Pellegrini in his post-game conference on Saturday, as quoted by Football.London.

“He needs to know that the Premier League is different than Serie A or in Brazil.”

Given that the 25-year-old Brazilian was fantastic against the Magpies on Saturday, then fans should be salivating over the possibilities regarding the success their club could achieve if Anderson does continue to get better like the Hammers manager stated.

Anderson demonstrated fantastic skill and creative vision against the Magpies and was a key reason why his side secured a comfortable 3-0 victory.

In fact the Brazilian even showed his ability to be lethal in front of goal as he beautifully pounced on his chance to score in the Hammers’ latest win in the 93rd minute.

If Anderson is still finding his feet in the Premier League but can still perform like he did on Saturday, then the rest of the Premier League should be worried about how good he can be for the Hammers.

When you consider that the London club signed the 25-year-old in the summer after welcoming Pellegrini to the club, Anderson’s success and potential further success in a Hammers shirt, shows the club are targeting the right plays when trying to make major strides forward.

As Anderson is the type of player, if he continues progressing, that you can imagine regularly featuring in top-level European competitions due to his skill set.

Also seeing as investing heavily in a player like the Brazilian winger seems to have paid off so far, then it means the Hammers board won’t be afraid to take a big money gamble on a similar player in the future.

This means the Hammers’ squad could slowly turn into one that puts the club back where fans believe it should be and see it regularly competing for at least a place in the Premier League’s top eight.

Therefore following Pellegrini’s remarks on Anderson after the win against Rafa Benitez’s side, fans should be drooling over the player’s potential as well as the possibilities his improvement could bring.
