West Ham United are interested in a January move for Chelsea player Victor Moses, according to ExWHUemployee.

The reliable club insider, who has been a reputable source of information about the Hammers was speaking on podcast ‘The West Ham Way‘ and revealed that the Hammers are in “early talks” with their former loan player as Manuel Pellegrini is eager to get players in as soon as possible when the window opens.

Moses starred for the Irons in the 2015/16, registering just one goal in 21 appearances – but seeming as Ryan Fredericks is injured, the manager has made getting a right-sided flyer like Moses a priority.

OPINION

Victor Moses has not had much of an opportunity to impress Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri this season so it would not be a surprise if he would be keen on a move to West Ham in January. He no doubts wants more regular game time under his belt, and moving to the London Stadium could provide him with that. However, he may have to play second fiddle to the likes of Pablo Zabaleta until he retires at the end of the season, and it remains to be seen whether he would be willing to make that sacrifice for the rest of the campaign. Nevertheless, he would be getting more minutes than he would be getting with the Blues – he has only made two Premier League outings this term, which is a serious waste of his talent. He has had good spells with Chelsea but the fact that he is now being overlooked is a shame – but what could be Sarri’s loss could be Pellegrini’s gain.
