Many Tottenham fans on social media heaped praise on midfielder Moussa Sissoko for his performance during the 1-0 win over West Ham on Saturday.
The Hammers suffered a narrow defeat courtesy of their London rivals at the London Stadium, and several Spurs fans responded to the game by praising their 29-year-old midfielder.
Sissoko was the creator of Erik Lamela’s winning goal during Saturday’s clash and one fan tweeted to compare him to legendary footballer Andres Iniesta.

Sissoko did look good against the Hammers and he did well to put a chance on a plate for Lamela to turn home. The central midfielder is often criticised by Spurs fans, however it seems based on this section of tweets, he has won a lot of them over. It’s very bold to compare Sissoko to Iniesta but it did show how happy one fan was in particular with the midfielder’s latest display. The Hammers probably weren’t worrying about the midfielder ahead of Saturday’s game as he wasn’t seen as a danger man but they won’t make that mistake again. Manuel Pellegrini’s side are set to take on Spurs again in the near future due to the League Cup drawing them against each other and if the midfielder plays, the Hammers have to do better to stop him influencing the game in a positive way. It’ll be interesting from a Spurs perspective to see if Sissoko’s form is here to stay as it would boost their quest for success.
