Marko Arnautovic took a cheeky dig at Aaron Cresswell when naming Michail Antonio as the strongest player at West Ham.

The forward was asked who the strongest player at the Hammers was currently during a question and answer session on his Instagram Live Story on Friday.

Arnautovic first replied to say Cresswell before posting three laughing emojis before revealing that he actually thought it was fellow attacker Antonio.

OPINION

Hopefully Cresswell enjoys a bit of lighthearted banter over his perceived strength as Arnautovic couldn’t help but take the opportunity to make the cheeky dig. The left-back, who earns £50,000-a-week at the London Stadium (Source: Spotrac) isn’t known for his strength, despite being a defender, and will no doubt laugh at Arnautovic’s joke. The fact Arnautovic feels he can make this sort of remark is a good sign for the Hammers as it shows the team spirit between the two first-teamers on this occasion. As for labelling Antonio the strongest, it’s easy to see why. On his day the Hammers attacker looks able to go toe-to-toe in the Premier League with any other player regarding who is the strongest, he just needs to find a way to use that attribute to his best advantage in order to improve his performances. Antonio has been featuring quite regularly under Manuel Pellegrini this season, even if he is not starting games, but needs to improve on the displays he has submitted so far.
