West Ham will look to continue their upturn in form as they welcome a struggling Manchester United side to the London Stadium on Saturday, and Manuel Pellegrini is expected to ring in the changes after their Carabao Cup thrashing of Macclesfield.

The Hammers ripped through the League Two strugglers on Wednesday in an 8-0 win, which is their biggest margin of victory since 1983.

That game gave Pellegrini the chance to look at some of his fringe players, while also allowing him to blood some youngsters, with three making their first-team debuts over the 90 minutes.

Attention turns back to the Premier League and the visit of the Red Devils, who crashed out of the cup to Championship side Derby County.

In goal, Pellegrini is expected to reinstate Lukasz Fabianski for Adrian.

In defence, Pablo Zabaleta, Fabian Balbuena, Issa Diop and Arthur Masuaku are expected to line up, which means Ryan Fredericks, Aaron Cresswell and Angelo Ogbonna drop out of the side.

A midfield trio of Declan Rice, Mark Noble, and Pedro Obiang are thought to be the preferred choice, with Carlos Sanchez dropping out after his injury blow alongside Robert Snodgrass.

In attack, it is expected that 6ft 3in colossus Andriy Yarmolenko [Transfermarkt] and Felipe Anderson will come back into the side, with Marko Arnautovic, who is also 6ft 3in [Transfermarkt] to lead the line after his injury return. That will see Grady Diangana, Michail Antonio and Lucas Perez axed.

All in all that means nine changes for the Hammers as Pellegrini searches for his second win in the league.
