West Ham are reportedly in talks with Le Havre over signing their defender Harold Moukoudi but it seems the French side are set to demand that any deal for their player includes a clause that gets them a huge chunk of any funds gained from his future sale.

Manu Lonjon, a journalist for Yahoo Sports France, revealed on via his personal Twitter account on Sunday that Le Havre were so convinced of Moukoudi’s potential that they wanted a deal which would get them somewhere between £8.89million and £10.6million as well as a huge % of his future sale in order to agree to part with him.

The Daily Mail previously stated that the Hammers were in talks with Le Havre over a deal to sign Moukoudi while Sky Sports correspondent Kaveh Solhekol shared via his Twitter account that the Premier League side were close to sealing a deal for him.

However it seems in order for Manuel Pellegrini to get a deal over the line for the 6ft 3in tall enforcer (source: Transfermarkt) then the Hammers have to agree to make a future sacrifice when it comes to the amount of money they can gain from selling him on.

While hopefully the Hammers will look to keep Moukoudi at the London Stadium as long as possible if he turns out to be the real deal, they won’t like the idea of their future profit margin for him already being dramatically reduced.

This might be the case but after Winston Reid’s injury and time running out to get deals done, the Hammers must agree to make this sacrifice in order to secure his services before the transfer window shuts.

The powerful 20-year-old defender was a dominant force at the back for his side last season in the 37 appearances he made for them and would be great cover for Pellegrini at the back.

Especially as he is no doubt set to improve as the season progresses as he will hopefully learn from his experiences in order to be able to adapt to the Premier League quickly.

This all means the Hammers must swiftly agree to make a future sacrifice regarding Moukoudi as they need to secure his services in the time that remains of the summer transfer window.
