Manuel Pellegrini must hand West Ham attacker Lucas Perez his full debut for his new side against Arsenal as it would be the perfect stage to do so.

The Hammers have so far struggled to impress in their opening two games of the 2018/19 season having lost 4-0 to Liverpool and suffered a 2-1 defeat courtesy of Bournemouth.

Considering that Manuel Pellegrini’s side have only managed to score from the penalty spot so far, the team’s firepower could do with a boost in order to give it the best chance of firing the club to a decent result against the Gunners.

The experienced Hammers boss should look to Perez in order to aid his side’s quest for goals in their next game as the left-footed forward is no doubt eager to prove a point against his old side.

Perez was wasted at the Gunners before leaving to join the Hammers this summer as he only managed to make 21 appearances for them.

The 29-year-old scored seven goals, as well as registering five assists, which isn’t the worst return considering he played just 21 times and he will no doubt be chomping at the bit to show them they should have used him more when he was with them.

He is also no doubt keen to show that the Gunners made a mistake carelessly discarding him this summer by selling him to a Premier League rival.

The 29-year-old should be fully up to speed with what Pellegrini wants him to do for the Hammers as he did make a cameo appearances against the Cherries during the club’s last league game.

Perez replaced Robert Snodgrass in the 77th minute of the 2-1 defeat to Eddie Howe’s side and showed glimpse that he could do well for the Hammers if given the chance.

Therefore Pellegrini must hand the left footer his full Hammers debut against Arsenal as it would be the perfect stage for him to excel as he will have an extra incentive to steal the headlines.
