A section of West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter following Xande Silva’s performance against the Tottenham under-23s on Monday evening.
The young winger made the move to East London this summer from Portuguese outfit Vitoria Guimaraes, and managed to bag a hat-trick in the space of six minutes in the Premier League 2 clash.
GOAL! A hat-trick for Xande Silva!
He strikes again, finding the corner from a narrow angle to get his third of the game. What a start to the second half! #TOTWHU 1-3 (49') pic.twitter.com/asLh1IEzvD

OPINION
Xande Silva’s performance in this derby clash last night has certainly gone down well with the West Ham faithful. Some of them are calling for the youngster to be promoted to the first team, but who can blame them. Netting a hat-trick on his debut is an impressive achievement, and he is definitely a name to look out for in the imminent future. He may have only been signed this summer with the intentions of playing in the under-23 squad, but the some of the supporters believe that he is ready for that step up into the senior team. Silva looks to be a promising talent, and after their heavy loss on Sunday, West Ham fans could do with a player like Silva in the side to change things up. Quite clearly, he is a player who can get fans off their seats, and his potential combination with Felipe Anderson could leave the supporters drooling. Hopefully, Manuel Pellegrini will take notice and give Silva a shot this weekend.
