West Ham must swoop for Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko as the 28-year-old could easily become an important member of Manuel Pellegrini’s squad.

According to Football.London , Sissoko may look to exit Spurs this summer in order to join a club where he would be able to regularly start games.

Mauricio Pochettino consistently opted to use the central midfielder as an option from the bench in the 2017/18 campaign shown by the fact only five of Sissoko’s 33 league appearances last season saw him play for the full 90 minutes of a match.

The Hammers should look to tempt the midfielder into leaving Spurs, who current contract sees him earns £80,000-a-week (Source: Spotrac), by making a move for him as soon as possible.

Despite making several signings already Manuel Pellegrini is still in need of adding a few more midfielders to his squad in order to give him enough cover for his team if it ends up being plagued by injuries.

The Hammers under David Moyes suffered due to their lack of midfield options in the second half of the 2017/18 campaign and recruiting Sissoko from Spurs would instantly make a positive difference.

The 28-year-old may have struggled to establish himself at Spurs since joining them from Newcastle United in 2016 but the midfielder is a proven Premier League performer who could deliver the goods under Pellegrini.

Sissoko, who can play as a central or attacking midfielder or out on the right flank if necessary, is a player who is able to control the tempo of games through his sublime passing and would help create opportunities for his teammates.

The former Magpies midfielder has registered 21 assists in his previous 176 appearances in England’s top-flight and with the right guidance as well as regular football could put chances on a plate for his more clinical teammates if recruited by the Hammers.

Therefore given that he is reportedly considering an exit, a proven Premier League performer and that the Hammers could do with boosting their midfield options, Pellegrini must urge his club to swoop for Spurs’ Sissoko as soon as possible.
