West Ham must swoop for West Bromwich Albion midfielder Nacer Chadli especially after his recent impressive displays for Belgium at the World Cup.

The Hammers are in need of boosting their midfield options and Manuel Pellegrini would be wise to quickly swoop for the 28-year-old currently contracted to the Baggies.

Chadli is a technically gifted attacking midfielder, who can also feature as a winger on either flank, and would be a capable player to cover for Manuel Lanzini’s absence from the team.

Lanzini previously shared through an  Instagram post on his personal account that he was aiming to recover from his knee injury in order to be fit enough to play from the start of 2019 for the Hammers.

However Pellegrini knows that he needs a player capable of being an attacking-threat in his midfield for the first-half of the campaign and Chadli fits the bill.

The midfielder has been excelling at the World Cup with Belgium showing off all his best qualities such as his ability to drive his team forward as well as his ability to consistently find his teammates with his passes.

Not only has the 28-year-old been in tip-top form to help Belgium progress to the World Cup semi-finals by scoring one goal in his four appearances, he is proven in the Premier League.

Chadli has made 124 appearances in England’s top-flight scoring 24 goals and registering 15 assists in the process so would have no trouble settling into life at the London Stadium quickly.

Pellegrini should also opt to swoop for the proven midfielder due to how easy and a quickly a deal could be wrapped up for his services.

Following the Baggies relegation from the Premier League last season, Chadli can be signed for £17million, as reported by The Telegraph, due to a release clause in his contract.

That figure is more than reasonable and personal terms shouldn’t be too hard to agree on as the attack-minded player is no doubt keen to secure Premier League football for himself ahead of the upcoming season.

Therefore the Hammers must swoop for Chadli quickly as the 28-year-old’s recent display no doubt have potential suitors lining up for his services.
