West Ham must quickly decide to sell Domingos Quina this summer in order to ensure that they get a respectable fee from the attacking midfielder’s departure.

Hammers insider ExWHUemployee claimed via their personal Twitter account on Saturday that as the 18-year-old only has a year left on his contract then his sale has been something that has been considered.

The reliable source of Hammers information suggested that another reason why his exit could be on the cards was because he hadn’t fulfilled as much as his potential as previously hoped.

Despite having bundles of pace in his locker and slick drilling skills that could baffle any defender on their day, Quina has been only able to make six appearances for the first-team since joining the club in 2016.

None of his Hammers outings have come in the Premier League with him only being afforded opportunities to impress in cup competitions.

While most of his opponents in those games have been against lower-ranked opposition he has still failed to justify any hype surrounding his potential.

As Quina hasn’t been able to standout in his displays for the senior team and while it may be a gamble giving that he is still young, the Hammers need to cash in this summer.

There is no guarantee that the attacking midfielder will develop into the exciting player that his raw potential could allow him to be and given his contract situation then the Hammers would be wise to get rid.

Especially as his sale has already been considered, which shows the club’s disappointment in his development.

Also there has already been plenty of interest in the teen talent which means the Hammers could easily get him off their books for a decent fee.

The Daily Mirror reported in April that AC Milan, Liverpool and Manchester United were all keeping tabs on Quina’s development and that could see the Hammers picking up a worthwhile fee by selling him.

If the Hammers don’t bin him in this window then due to his contract expiring next summer, most interested clubs will just wait to try and pick him up on a free transfer.

Therefore the Hammers should stop hesitating and just swiftly sell their teen talent as the longer they wait the less likely they are to get a decent return for his services.
