Manuel Pellegrini has got a list of ten players that he is looking at signing for West Ham, according to Football.London.

The football news outlet state that while it’s unlikely that the Hammers boss will successfully welcome all ten on his list, co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold have been informed of Pellegrini’s intent when it comes to what he wants.

Football.London report that while some names of the Hammers manager’s list are a mystery, his shortlist is thought to have Lukasz Fabianski, Alfie Mawson, Felipe Anderson, Marlon Santos, Issa Diop, Javier Pastore and Ryan Fredericks’ names on it.

OPINION

Fredericks has already been successfully ticked off Pellegrini’s list as his arrival has been confirmed and it looks like there will soon be more ticks on the manager’s list. The Hammers seem close to capturing a lot of the players named by this report and it seems only a matter of time before the new recruits come bursting through the doors at the London Stadium. It’s interested that Pellegrini has made his intent directly known to Gold and Sullivan as now it’s up to them to make sure he has the resources to get the deals he wants done. The experienced boss will not appreciate a large portion of his targets not be welcomed as he no doubt was reassured of being backed in the transfer market upon taking over the club. However the good news is that based on reports that keep circulating in the media, it does seem like there is hard work going on behind the scenes to ensure several new faces are rocking up to the London Stadium shortly.
