West Ham goalkeeper Adrian has no choice but to force through his exit from the club after it was revealed that the Hammers were willing to pay £5million to get Swansea City’s Lukasz Fabianski.

The colossus keeper, he stands at 6ft 2in tall according to Transfermarkt, previously shared in an interview with Marca that he was wanting to talk to Manuel Pellegrini about his future.

“I have one more year of contract left,” Adrian told the Spanish publication.

“Now to see Pellegrini’s opinion of me, we have to sit down and arrive at the best decision for everyone.

“Let’s see if they trust me and give me the opportunity to continue playing, that Pellegrini is clear and sincere.”

Since this interview it was reported by Wales Online that the club had made an offer for Fabianski, only for it to be rejected, which would have caused Adrian a reason to be concerned about his future.

2018 UK bookmakers are often a good indicator of whether a player will make a move to a club, so it’s worth checking the odds on Fabianksi securing a move to the London Stadium.

However after Football.London stated that the bid for the 33-year-old shot-stopper was thought to be £5million this should tell Adrian all he needs to know.

The Hammers are not going to invest that sort of money in a goalkeeper, who is that age, just to have him sit on the bench, which means Adrian won’t get a look in next season.

The current Hammers keeper, who is 31-years-old himself, can’t afford to sit around and watch his career pass him by so he must force his exit from the London Stadium.

Adrian clearly wasn’t happy at only playing 22 games last season due to Joe Hart’s presence at the club and has to personally act in order not to have another miserable campaign.

Pellegrini will be in no rush to ditch the keeper as he would be a solid option to use as cover for Fabianski, if he arrives, and this means that the player has to take upon himself to get a move.

Even if the Hammers’ end their pursuit of Fabianski after being willing to payout a significant fee for a 33-year-old, they will just snap up someone else who will keep Adrian out of the team instead.

Therefore with it now being known that the London club were willing to spend £5million on a player who will definitely keep him out of the team, Adrian must personally ensure his five-year spell at the Hammers comes to an end imminently.
