West Ham have a £75million transfer kitty this summer but a portion of that will be funded by player sales, according to the Evening Standard.

The regional newspaper detail how much money is available to manager Manuel Pellegrini and director of football Mario Husillos following the club’s whirlwind of early summer arrivals.

The Standard report £75million-minus-unnamed amount can be spent on new players, although £22million has already been shelled out on defender Issa Diop, while right-back Ryan Fredericks was a free transfer.

With Lukasz Fabianski also now confirmed as a Hammer following a transfer that is widely reported to have cost £7million, West Ham have already spent £29million. That leaves a maximum of £46million, although the Standard do add the proviso that some of the war chest must be funded by player sales. Irons will note that there need to be a few major outgoings before the club can press ahead with significant major signings. They could just about push through the £30million-plus Felipe Anderson deal, but anything more than that would need to be counterbalanced by a few big-name exits. The names being bandied about are the likes of Michail Antonio, Sam Byram and Jordan Hugill, with the former potentially securing a £20million-plus fee. Supporters could just about live with the 28-year-old attacking midfielder quitting, but they will be furious if a stellar name like Marko Arnautovic was offloaded to fund the new signings.
