West Ham fans on social media couldn’t believe what they were reading as it was claimed that they were in talks with OGC Nice about signing midfielder Jean Michael Seri.
Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira stated via their personal Twitter account on Thursday that the Hammers were in talks to finalise a 40 million euros (£35.1million) for the 26-year-old midfielder and had offered him a five-year contract to sign.

This update from a trusted journalist followed on from Tuttomercatoweb’s report on Wednesday which claimed that the Hammers were in pole position to sign Seri after making a concrete offer for his services.
Upon hearing the promising development regarding their club’s pursuit of the player, Hammers fans took to Twitter to drool over the prospect of seeing him shortly at the London Stadium.
One supporter asked fans to give them a little more information on the midfielder and this had Hammers fans tweeting how highly they rated Seri.
