West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini will finalise the club’s transfer plans in a meeting with co-chairman David Sullivan today, according to Claret and Hugh

The Hammers website, which is an established source for reliable insider information, report that Pellegrini and director of football Mario Husillos will settle on targets with Sullivan before the Chilean flies off to Switzerland for pre-season training.

Claret and Hugh claim that the club have hopes of signing three to five more players this summer, with priorities lying with signing another centre-back and two attacking midfielders.

It is said that signing a forward, a goalkeeper and a midfield enforcer will also be under consideration.

This meeting will no doubt be crucial in deciding how the last month or so of the transfer window goes at the London Stadium. The summer so far has gone extremely well for the Hammers, who have signed Ryan Fredericks, Issa Diop and Lukasz Fabianski already. All three of those players will add something new to this Irons squad, and the initial signs are looking brilliant for this new era at West Ham. One interesting thing to note in the coming weeks will be the influence of Husillos, and conversely that of Sullivan, who has reportedly said he will take a step back from transfer proceedings. Whether that will happen is unknown, and in many ways doubtful considering his history. First priority will surely be the club’s hunt of Lazio winger Felipe Anderson, with talks now dragging on for a long while. The club need either to wrap that one up quickly or drop their interest and look elsewhere, as they cannot afford to waste much more time on the Brazilian.
