West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini is reportedly at loggerheads with the club hierarchy over summer recruitment, and fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news.
As reported by the Mirror, the Chilean is growing worried about promises being broken just two weeks into his tenure at the London Stadium.
The newspaper claim that Pellegrini has seen several requests for new players knocked back, despite bosses handing him massive assurances when he decided to take on the job.
It is said that Pellegrini is now preparing himself for a battle with the board to attain the targets he wants this summer, with the Chilean looking to strengthen the squad significantly.
Pellegrini has already spoken out about the issues he may face at the London Stadium during a talk in Chile, with the Mirror quoting him as saying that the challenge at West Ham is ‘spectacular’ while describing the owners as ‘rich but careful with money.’
It looks to be a case of the West Ham board getting up to their old tricks again, with David Sullivan known to meddle in his managers’ transfer business over the years.
