Declan Rice completed 90 minutes in draw against Manchester United on Thursday – and West Ham fans on Twitter were blown away by the quality of his display.

The 19-year-old defender helped his side keep a clean sheet in the midweek Premier League clash and snuffed out attacker Alexis Sanchez.

He has become a mainstay in the backline in recent weeks for manager David Moyes and has started to earn rave reviews from all areas, forming a great back three partnership alongside Aaron Cresswell and Angelo Ogbonna.

West Ham now host Everton in their final league match of the season and will be aiming to record their third consecutive clean sheet.

West Ham fans on social media decided to single out Rice for special praise following his performance and believe that he continues to get even better.

The ball-playing centre-back is a product of the club’s academy and has become a full integrated member of the first team, with his displays really picking up in the second half of the season.

There has been a brilliant history of young players breaking into the senior side and it appears that Rice is the latest off that production line.
