West Ham boss David Moyes has said he will deal with veteran striker Andy Carroll, after he departed the bench in Sunday’s 4-1 defeat to Manchester City early.

The Hammers boss made a triple change in the second-half at the London Stadium, introducing Javier Hernandez, Joao Mario and Arthur Masuaku, leaving the England striker as an unused substitute.

The frustrated forward then left the bench prematurely to head inside and Moyes told Sky Sports after the game that he will deal with the incident.

“It’s something I’ll deal with. In this situation what you need is everybody to be a team member so if he has done that, I’ll look at it and I’ll deal with it.”

Carroll has struggled again with injury problems this season and faces an uncertain future with West Ham, who could approve a departure this summer as he enters the final 12 months of his contract at the London Stadium.
