West Ham boss David Moyes is preparing for a busy summer at the London Stadium, where it’s understood two of his priorities are signing a new goalkeeper and bolstering his options in the middle of the park.

Therefore, reports cited by SportWitness could hand the Hammers a significant boost as it’s stated that Sporting Lisbon could approve the departures of two major stars at the club for a combined fee of €55m.

The two players in question are midfielder William Carvalho, widely linked with a move to the London Stadium last summer, and experienced goalkeeper Rui Patricio, who could solve the Hammers’ woes between the sticks.

West Ham didn’t meet Carvalho’s €40m asking price last year and the price for the Portugal international has not dropped, while the Hammers could fight Napoli in the hunt for experienced stopper Patrico- who would cost €15m.

Given the need for West Ham to improve their squad in these areas, it’s certainly an opportunity the Hammers should consider.
