West Ham are on the verge of securing their Premier League status for another season and it could lead David Moyes to hand opportunities to some youngsters in the season’s finale.

Amongst those chasing a break in the first-team after impressing behind the scenes is 19-year-old Nathan Trott, who was on the bench against Manchester City in December and is poised to take a spot on the sidelines in the reverse clash against the Citizens this weekend.

Goalkeeper Trott has seen the club’s Premier League 2. campaign come to a close but he, and other young talents, are looking to impress Moyes and the Hammers hierarchy before the end of the senior campaign.

Speaking to the club’s official website, the highly-rated stopper:

“The season is not over for us yet; Hopefully now I get opportunities to train with the first team and impress David Moyes and hopefully I can do that and at least get on the bench for them and make a couple of appearances.”

“And now our season is over after a really good year but we have to stay focused because trying to impress the first team manager has to be the aim for players like myself before the summer begins.”

Current first-choice Joe Hart is not available to face his parent club this weekend, which will mean Adrian will step into the fold and Trott will come in as first reserve.
